Infinity Presidential is one of the best chairs in the world from one of few reliable brands.
But is it perfect?
In my opinion, the Presidential comes pretty close to being the best chair.
Some of its unique features make it stand apart from other top massage chairs – such as the fact it offers a good massage option to tall people or industry-unique J-track;
I’ll talk about all that below…
But there’s a gap between the absolute best and what the Presidential can offer.
There are few better massage chair models (alternatives) that I’ll discuss below!
Infinity Presidential Massage Chair (Most Notable Features & Reviews)
If you’re curious about Infinity Presidential most important features and how they benefit you, I’ll talk about each below:
J-Track vs. L-Track
Infinity Presidential boasts a 49-inch L-track that looks more like a J-track.
Let me explain this real quick: an L-track follows the natural spine curvature so it can touch all the pressure points on your back, but extends down to your glutes for a comprehensive buttocks massage.
A J-track goes under your butt in a 45-degree angle, which allows a better stretch.
This extension is important because, as you know, L-track massage chairs provide worse stretches than S-track chairs.
But a 45-degree angle lets the chair recline as close to horizontally as possible, so your spine and body can be stretched comprehensively.
So the Presidential hits two birds with one stone: glute massage plus awesome stretch.
The Stretch Function
Presidential’s stretch is an amazing function too.
Like the majority of Infinity massage chairs, Presidential features airbag support for your feet and ankles during the stretch.
The ankle airbags pull your spine so you can feel an intense stretch.
If you’re also using the shoulder airbags, the stretch is more rugged.
The massage roller movement makes the stretch excellent because they touch your entire back.
The remote control is easy to use, with an intuitive menu.
You can easily select the program you need, especially thanks to the Quick Keys.
You can find these keys at the bottom, so you won’t need to scroll through the menu to adjust or change your program.
The Quick Keys allow you to move the rollers forward and backward through the six depth settings, to adjust the massage depth.
You can access the seven primary auto massage programs, select the manual massage technique, adjust the air intensity and the airbag massage regions, activate/ deactivate the Zero Gravity option, move the rollers manually or turn on the heated rollers.
Besides, there’s a pouch for your remote control just outside the armrest so that you can reach it in no time.
Another user-friendly feature is the various language options for the remote: English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese.
Infinity Presidential features 3D rollers, which I love. At first, I had the impression that the rollers are a bit small, at least compared to other Infinity massage chairs.
However, their size makes them perfect for deep tissue massage, especially in the neck and nape area.
Yes, even for taller people! In fact, it’s one of the reasons I like the Presidential so much: the deep tissue rollers and long J-track offer an excellent neck massage to tall people too.
Another reason why I love the 3D roller system here is that they’re very active.
The rollers combine all the techniques, like tapping, knocking, kneading, and rolling, to provide a comprehensive massage.
So what do 3D rollers have that other, common, rollers don’t?
The 3D technology allows the rollers to move into your spine for a deeper massage, though you can easily retract them to lower the massage intensity.
The auto-massage programs featured by Presidential put this feature to good use.
You can actually feel when the rollers stop so that they can move into your back, much like a Shiatsu massage.
I took advantage of this feature especially in my nape area and my lower back.
And I have to say, very few massage chairs can massage these areas comprehensively.
The speed adjustments allow you to intensify your massage experience, but the “Back Rubbing” feature is the true star of the show.
Unlike kneading, which combines up-down movements with left-right movements, the Back Rubbing option moves the rollers just from left to right.
Much like a transverse friction massage, this feature is perfect for massaging scar tissue and trigger points.
Not a lot of L-track massage chairs boast hip airbags, which is why I’m writing this down as a special feature.
These airbags offer a thorough compression massage for your thigh and hip area, which combines well with Presidential’s stretch function.
Such a compression massage is fantastic if you have lower back issues or sciatica pain.
It’s an excellent feature for people who work out as well, seeing as these hip airbags offer a comprehensive stretch before or after your workout.
The electronic ottoman adjusts automatically, but you can use the remote to change it manually.
You just have to use the up and down arrows on the “footrest” option on the remote.
The foot rollers are some of the most comfortable on the market, not to mention they feature speed and intensity adjustments.
Sadly, the Presidential has no calf rollers, which would have made the foot massage better.
The calves airbags can mimic a compression massage, and you can adjust their intensity, but nothing compares to calve rollers.
Space Saving Feature
Infinity Presidential has a space-saving design, which means you can place it just a few inches from the wall without hitting it.
That said, Presidential is built for bigger users, so it’s not a small, light chair.
Its dimensions are 34 x 52 x 51 inches when upright and 77 x 41 inches when reclined. Weighing 275 pounds total, you can’t move it easily around your house.
Infinity Presidential boasts heated foot units, heated rollers plus lumbar heat, which makes it the best massage chair in terms of therapy.
The Hot Rocks option allows you to heat the rollers for 30 minutes, and there aren’t a lot of massage chairs that do that.
The heating pads and 5’ increments for the Hot Rocks improve the heat therapy offered by the Infinity Presidential.
Heat is beneficial for your spine because it improves your blood circulation and helps unwind tense lumbar muscles to increase massage effectiveness.
And the hot pads actually feel hot, although you can use the remote to lower the heating temperature.
It’s even better than the chair allows you to use the three different areas together or independently.
With 38 airbags, you can count on the compression massage Infinity Presidential offers.
Besides, it places these airbags in key places, and I already mentioned the hip and feet/ ankle airbags.
The airbags can be used simultaneously or separately, massaging different body parts.
You can also adjust the compression intensity on five different levels.
The sequential arm airbags are amazing as well. The airbags are topped by a cloth material, which is topped with rubber nodules.
Their purpose is to fix your arms in the armrests during the compression massage so that they won’t be squeezed out.
These arm airbags will inflate and deflate from the hand/ wrist area to the forearms and up to the arms.
The main purpose of compression massage is to improve your blood circulation and to relax you, but the shoulder airbags work well with the mid-back roller massage, improving your posture.
This is the Presidential’s Spinal Correction feature in action.
Zero-G Plus Other Programs and Techniques
Infinity Presidential includes some basic massage techniques like Kneading, Tapping, Combo, and Knocking.
The advanced Shiatsu and Pulse Shiatsu offer a deep tissue massage which is excellent for relieving chronic pain. Back Rubbing works wonders for scar tissue, while Finger Knead alleviates arthritis pains.
I’ve already told you a bit about heat therapy, air massage, and stretch function.
This chair also offers spinal correction and two zero gravity positions.
Zero gravity takes pressure off your spine and presses your body weight on the rollers, which increases the spinal massage intensity.
This deep tissue spinal massage alleviates chronic back pain or post-surgical pain. As you have two zero-G levels, you can adjust the spinal massage intensity.
This unit features body scanning to identify the pressure points on your body so that you can benefit from an effective massage.
I also liked the Reflexology option, which relaxed me 100%.
The real bonus is the Rhythm technique, which synchronizes the massage to the beat of your favorite songs. This is an effective way to relax.
Extras and Bonuses
It has various bonuses which make it a user-friendly massage chair.
For instance, its BlueTooth capability allows you to pair the chair to any device to play music.
The built-in speakers are quality and play beautiful sounds. Don’t forget about the Apple and Android app functionality for easy control.
The timer is another addition because you can customize your massage length.
You can prolong the massage duration for up to 45 minutes, in 5-minute increments.
I liked the side LED lights as well – they make a cozy atmosphere in a dark room.
Infinity Presidential vs. Genesis vs. Imperial
These three Infinity models are all top-notch – I’ve tried all of them, but there are some differences.
You can acquire the Genesis through Costco and the Imperial through Mattress Firms roadshows, but unfortunately, they’re not listed on the websites.
The chairs share similar features, like 3D rollers, reliable compression massage, plenty of auto programs, zero-G, and use manual settings.
However, the Genesis lacks the heated rollers and feet of Infinity Presidential, and it lacks its excellent stretch program too.
Infinity Imperial comes with a bonus air ionizer which should increase your oxygen intake, so you’re refreshed and invigorated.
This model has a few small vents around the headrest where fresh air comes from.
Another bonus Infinity Imperial offers are the calf rollers which improve blood circulation in the calves, for a more effective calf and feet massage.
On the other hand, it offers the benefit of a J-track, to improve your stretch massage.
Infinity Presidential Massage Chair Warranty
Infinity offers a 5-year residential limited warranty, for USA customers.
This warranty covers technical support and a structural framework warranty.
The limited warranty allows you a free replacement on covered parts for three years and complete care – including in-home repairs and free parts – for a year.
You can also buy the 3-year or 5-year extended warranties, to increase your warranty for the labor and parts to three, respectively five years.
The framework is guaranteed for five years, though, with both these warranties.
So while it is a good chair, there are other massage chairs on the market with better warranties – for more years and not limited.
Is a Massage Chair a Good Investment?
As technology continues to evolve, it has made it easier than ever for us to buy and sell things, too. If you are thinking about investing in a chair for your home, you need to take time to think about your needs and what you want to get out of it. This is because not everyone wants to spend their leisure time sitting down and relaxing. The good news is that many chairs can be used to their full potential and add value to your home and wallet. More importantly, the chair doesn’t need to be new, but instead, it should be an investment in good quality and timeless design.
Taking a few minutes to stretch your arms, back, and legs with a chair massage is a great way to restore your body and prepare for a day of work. But while you can be reimbursed by your employer for these services, you’ll need to look closely at how these chairs work in the workplace. Most people aren’t offering massages on the regular, and if your employer is paying for a full body massage, you can expect to be treated much the same as you would when you pay for a haircut. For that reason, you shouldn’t feel guilty about being treated for your sore back on the regular, but you’ll need to decide if it’s worth it. To find out if these chairs are a good investment for your work life, we consulted experts in the field to get the scoop on what to expect from the chair, and what you need to know before you buy one.
Pros and Cons
Here’s what I love about the Presidential: the J-track, the active 3D rollers, heat therapy, hip and shoulder airbags, plus the two zero-gravity settings.
Here’s what I think would make this model better: firstly, the foot rollers would improve your calf and feet massage.
Secondly, the partially-encased foot massager should go. This feels a bit restrictive to people who wear size 13+ on their shoes. Body scan.
And while the Presidential offers an amazing neck massage for tall people and can fit tall people wonderfully, the top dome can hit your head if you’re over 6’8”.
Besides, the warranty could be improved.
Infinity Presidential Bottom Line
The Infinity Presidential is worth it. It has some unique features that make it a good choice, whether you’re looking for a therapeutic massage chair, oryou’re a hobbyist user.
This is a great chair, it’s reliable and features a good warranty.
But if you want a more reliable chair made in the USA with some special features such as a unique body swivel, the recently updated Luraco I7 Plus chair might be a better alternative.
But if you want one of the best chairs with space-saving capabilities, you definitely want to buy Infinity Presidential or Novo Xt2 from Human Touch.
